Over 200 competitors are expected for the Cyclo-Cross event which pitches cyclists against each other over a testing off-road course expected to be fast and muddy with twisty turns and small obstacles. Races cover all ages from under 10s to over 50s.

Anybody interested in having a go can find more details online at:  A ‘novice’ category is open to all and Mountain Bikes are welcome.  Entry is also available on the day.  Spectators are also welcome!

Organiser Simon Young, of Hitchin Nomads said: “Cyclo-Cross is a fun type of bike racing.  Hitchin Nomads are delighted to be working with The Heritage Foundation to promote this event which fits the club’s ethos of ‘all types of cycling for all types of people’.

Standalone Farm hosts a range of races and Andrew Milich, Standalone Farm Manager said: “I’m looking forward to this event which should be great to watch. We are always open to approaches to hold events for the community.”
